Looks it might be a respray. Some of the common Koga-Miyata stickers (e.g. frame material near the top of the seat tube Alloy 7005, frame size near the bottom bracket and the 'handbuilt by Koga') are missing and I've never seen a Koga-Miyata with just Miyata on the downtube.I have seen some with Koga-Miyata on the downtube and only Miyata on the seat tube (See this steel example).

Thanks! These are 35c. They are absolutely max that the frame accepts, 32c would be perfect. I have my quick release on the rear backed a few millimeters to get enough clearance for mud and gravel between the tire and the caliper.

For the Road Winner's frame Koga have used a set of 7005 heat treated triple butted tubes and they've welded them together superbly. It is then triple hardened to add strength and longevity.

I'm currently in the process of restoring my 1980 Koga Miyata Roadwinner, but I can't find any info on what paint colour I should use. The frame appears to have been repainted at least once, so matching that is no help either.
